Terms of use

What the app is
Naturswap scans whatever you are holding and estimates how processed it is. With it you get a natural replacement and a short reason, and for some of them an instruction for making it yourself. The app promises nothing beyond that.
What the app is not
The texts in the app are general information, not medical, nutritional or legal advice. They are no substitute for a doctor. If you are ill, pregnant, taking medication or deciding for a child, ask someone qualified.
A product's rating is our assessment based on fixed rules. It is not an official verdict and says nothing about whether a product is safe or approved. A low value does not mean something is banned or dangerous.
In a photo scan, a model reads what is visible in the image. It can be wrong, miss ingredients or misjudge a portion. Calorie and nutrition figures are estimates from a picture and are not suitable for weighing. For anything that matters, rely on the pack.
You follow the make it yourself instructions at your own risk. Stick to the notes in them, especially where something gets hot and where it says what must not be combined.
Subscription
Naturswap costs money. There are two terms, one week and one year, at the prices shown in the app. The amount is charged to your Apple account.
- The subscription renews automatically for the same term unless you cancel at least twenty four hours before it ends.
- You can cancel any time in your Apple account settings under Subscriptions. We cannot cancel it for you, only Apple can.
- After cancelling, access continues until the end of the paid term.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.
Fair use of the scanner
Every photo scan costs us money, so the number of photo scans per day and device is capped. Barcode scans are not affected. The cap is set high enough that normal use never reaches it.
Right of withdrawal
As a consumer you have a fourteen day right of withdrawal. The sale runs through Apple, so you address the withdrawal to Apple. Apple provides a form at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Content
The texts and data in the app belong to us. You may use them for yourself but not copy and redistribute them as a whole. Product data for barcodes comes from Open Food Facts and is published under the Open Database License.
Liability
We are liable for intent and gross negligence, and for damage arising from injury to life, body or health. For simple negligence we are liable only for the breach of essential obligations and limited to foreseeable damage.
Changes
We may change these terms when the app changes. The version in force is always the one on this page.
